What to Expect
& Not to Expect

I am a fellow traveler with you on this journey, not a counselor, psychotherapist, authority figure, or guru. During our time together, my eyes, ears and heart are simultaneously looking toward you and toward heaven, looking to God as your Director and Guide.

I expect myself to hold our times in strict confidence. What we say in session together stays in the session, unless the law or a court order requires otherwise. Know also that you are free to share our times together as you like.

I will set no expectation on you as we are together except to be still, to be honest with yourself, with Your God, and to be open to His voice in examination and growth of your spiritual life.

I will not offer you personal, professional, financial, relational, or any other advice. I will sit with you in what is. I will listen reflectively, I will notice stirrings, I will introduce you to spiritual practices to sharpen your eyes and ears to yourself and your God.

If we are engaging in Spiritual Direction online or over the phone, you acknowledge potential limitations to the given technology which may result in poor internet connection, computer failure, or power loss, for which I cannot be held responsible.

No charge is expected for the first session. Following sessions, the fee per one-hour is $60 (USD). I strongly recommend pre-payment before each session, freeing you to be fully present during and after our time together. I believe that finances should not keep anyone from receiving spiritual direction, as I myself have received this sacred gift in season without cost. If your current budget does not allow for full payment, consider $40. Those who are in a financial position to be able to contribute $75 are helping give those in a financially challenging season this gift of sacred space. Payment is accepted via cash, check, Venmo, or Paypal.

We commit to begin and end our sessions on time. Any cancellation or rescheduling needs to be communicated as soon as possible by leaving a voicemail or text on my phone. I will confirm by text or phone as soon as I am able. Please expect me to retain/request payment for any missed appointments or same-day cancellations. Please set for yourself a reminder of our time/date together.

Should you want to have a longer session than 60 minutes or desire to meet an extra time any given month, feel free to contact me in advance, and we will schedule accordingly.
